Local processing

Dispute details and attachments are read and assembled in your browser. This version has no account and no server upload of your packet. Progress is saved locally so you can return after a refresh or later visit; drafts expire after seven days without changes.

Data retention

Your working draft and uploaded files are saved locally in this browser so you can resume after a refresh or return later. They are not saved to a Zocuments server. Drafts expire after seven days without changes and can be cleared with Start over.

If you answer the optional prompt about whether you handle disputes regularly, that answer is also stored in this browser’s localStorage as zocuments.recurring-signal. That value is “regular”, “once”, or “dismissed”. It is not your packet.

Attachments

PDF, PNG, and JPEG files you add are read locally and merged into the exported packet. They are not uploaded to Zocuments. Other file types should be added in your processor portal.

Analytics

Zocuments records pseudonymous product usage such as pages viewed, actions taken, scroll depth, and packet exports so we can understand whether the product is useful. Chargeback details, customer information, uploaded files, filenames, and packet contents are not included in analytics.

On the public site those events are sent to Zocuments over HTTPS as first-party telemetry. They are not sent to Google Analytics, Plausible, or other third-party analytics companies. Dispute data stays in this browser. Pseudonymous product telemetry may leave the browser.

The browser stores a random visitor identifier in localStorage (zocuments.aid) until you clear site data, and a random session identifier in sessionStorage (zocuments.sid) until the tab is closed. Clearing storage starts a new browser visitor. We do not fingerprint devices or use advertising identifiers. To help operators recognize related sessions, first-party analytics may also store a keyed, pseudonymous network identifier derived from the request IP; the raw IP is not stored. A shared network can belong to many people, so this signal is not an identity match.

Product limits

  • It does not submit disputes to PayPal, Shopify, Stripe, Square, or any card network.
  • It does not guarantee an outcome.
  • It does not give legal advice.
  • It does not independently verify that your statements or files are true or complete.
  • It does not run OCR or read documents for you.
  • It does not connect to a processor API or pull cases from your dashboard.

Processor rules
