Show the purchase they made
- Itemized receipt: date, amount, product names, and the email or account used at checkout.
- The descriptor as it appears, next to your store name, if you have a screenshot of how it is configured.
- Order confirmation sent to their email.
- If they contacted you asking 'what is this charge?', include that thread. It is the whole case.
The portal may still say fraud
You still have to satisfy the fraud or unauthorized evidence list if that is how the case was coded. Add authorization checks and delivery or access records from the unauthorized transaction guide. Do not skip those because you believe the customer is confused.
Fewer of these next month
Stripe's fraud-prevention notes start with a recognizable statement descriptor and receipts after payment. That is not evidence for the open case; it is how you avoid the next one. Changing the descriptor now does not fix a dispute already filed.
