Unauthorized disputes are often the hardest to overturn. The useful records connect the legitimate cardholder, or someone they authorized, to this purchase.

Do not assert AVS, CVV, 3-D Secure, or similar results unless you have a record of them. Stripe and other processors may already include some of those checks when you submit in their dashboard.

Zocuments does not contact the issuer and does not improve win rates by itself. It only helps you label the records you actually have.

Records that usually help

Usually helps

  • Payment verification. AVS/CVV results, 3-D Secure, a signed receipt, a card-present record, or processor risk checks — only if you can attach them.
  • Customer account history. Prior undisputed orders, login history, or a saved customer profile that ties this cardholder to the account.
  • Delivery or pickup match. Delivery to the billing address, pickup ID, signature, or recipient confirmation can support that the cardholder received the goods.
  • Customer communication. Messages where the customer asked about, changed, or discussed this order.

Usually does not help

  • A statement that 'the customer is a regular'. Without prior-order records, that is an assertion, not evidence.
  • Refund policy. A policy does not show who authorized the charge.
  • Guessing at 3-D Secure or AVS. If you cannot document the check, leave it out. False precision is worse than a gap.

Processor notes

File limits, deadlines, and outcomes come from your processor. These notes summarize public help articles; check the portal for the case in front of you.

How this looks in a packet
